African Elephant, Loxodonta Africana. Amboseli National Park, Kenya, East Africa. A large herd of female and juvenile African Elephants crossing the road, & in doing so hold up a large number of tourist vehicles. Elephants spend most of their time eating. Elephants must have access to water and enjoy spending time washing, playing and cooling off. African Elephants are classified as endangered. They are victims of large-scale poaching and habitat loss due to rapid human expansion.
